External Role: Assembly Technician
Kubota Canada LTD. is currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Wholegoods Assembly team in Pickering, ON. This position is responsible for the assembly of Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) units, National Account equipment, Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs), kit building activities, equipment repairs, and supporting various warehouse initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment is assembled accurately, safely, and in accordance with Kubota quality standards and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble Tractor Loader Backhoe (B26, L47, M62) units, National Account equipment, PDIs, kits, and other assigned warehouse duties and KCL initiatives
- Ensure TLB and National Account units are assembled in a timely manner based on dealer requests and orders
- Ensure TLB and National Account equipment is assembled to specification
- Assemble tractors and equipment in support of internal departments, including Marketing
- Ensure dealer orders are built to specification and completed in a timely manner
- Repair tractors damaged in the warehouse or through inbound shipments
- Repair implements damaged by weather or accidental damage
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to track and repair damaged equipment where required and financially viable
- Complete National Account assemblies and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
- Identify and resolve assembly issues where parts or subframes do not fit correctly
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment to new specifications when required
- Coordinate with internal departments, including Operations and Quality Control, to support assembly and repair activities
- Ensure all dealer orders and repairs are completed on time and meet Kubota quality standards
Qualifications:
- Safety and mechanical knowledge
- Experience in Heavy Equipment, Agriculture, or equivalent training and education
- Heavy Equipment and/or Truck and Coach licensing is considered an asset but not required
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification, including Counterbalance, Order Picker, and Reach Truck, is preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills are considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Compensation:
Salary Range: $50,000 - $57,000
This range is provided in accordance with Ontario pay transparency legislation and reflects expected compensation for this role.
